Inspirational Quote On Change – Motivational Monday
I think one of the most difficult things for us as humans is change, especially when we know we must initiate that change ourselves. I thought this was an appropriate quote for a week after the new year when many of us are still trying to initiate and follow through on positive changes in our life.
There are so many things that we often wish to change in our lives whether it’s our careers, weight, health, friends, over all happiness, etc. I know from my own personal experience how it can feel to be almost totally lost in life and not sure where to start to turn things around to get on the track to where you want to be. But I have to say that as hard as it is, it is so worth it in the end!
My biggest piece of advice is to just start small and take baby steps. Make small goals for yourself and don’t make things overwhelming or you’ll just shortly end up back at square one. Trust me, I know. After a while of achieving your small goals, you’ll quickly build the confidence and know how to tackle the larger and more substantial changes.
Unfortunately, a lot of times to achieve these sorts of goals, you do have to take certain things out of your life, which is where the quote comes in. This can be all sorts of things such as foods, other triggers, and the hardest in my opinion, people. However, if they aren’t in your corner supporting you to be the best you can be and the person you want to be, they don’t deserve to be there in the first place, right? Odds are they are relying on you more than the other way around.
Either way, once you start removing the negatives in your life, instead surround yourself with positive people and other positive influences. You may never stop fully missing what you have to give up, but it certainly gets easier and easier!

This is an awesome post and I love that quote. Subtracting is often the hardest thing to do.
I’d love it if you’d link this post up to my Monday Montras Inspirational Linkup

Thanks, Sarah. Subtracting is really hard, but I have found it is totally worth the “weight” that has been lifted off your shoulders afterwards!
