Being a coupon and deal blogger myself, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see what you all thought about Kate Gosselin’s apparent latest gig – a coupon blogger.
If you haven’t heard yet, there’s an official press release out from CouponCabin that Kate is joining their team as a regularly contributing blogger.
I will say that I’m not overly familiar with Kate, but from everything I have read about her, which I realize can be exaggerated, and have seen clips of, she doesn’t strike me as the type that could, or would want, to be a coupon blogger. While I dislike the stereotype that deal blogs tend to all be “mommy blogs”, because, after all, I’m not a mom myself (unless you count cats), I can’t help but think that they are pulling her in because she is a popular mom that they are hoping will bring in new views. Finding deals and coupons, etc. is generally time consuming and I imagine most people that start doing so, do so because they need to and not because they are looking to get a check.
I just can’t see how Kate can possibly be familiar enough with the couponing lifestyle to give advice of her own without it mostly being fed to her. But I’ll wait and see what she has to say before I give complete judgement.

I agree…I can remember a few shows where she talked about coupons and she yelled at Jon for not using one when he bought something. I’d be interested in hearing what she has to contribute.
